I’m Hunter, but most people call me Huntress.
I’m a stay-at-home mom of two boys, Jonas, who is almost 3, and Shepherd, who is almost 1. We live on the coast of North Carolina, but hardly ever visit the beach.
The name of my blog “Huntress At Home” is a play on words: It’s my nickname, but It also encapsulates my aim to help other moms be “huntresses” in their own homes!—Masters of homemaking!
After several failed attempts in writing, I finally discovered my passion for helping stay-at-home moms become all that they could be for their families and started my blog Huntress At Home. As you read you will discover ways to get creative, organized, and excited about what you do as a wife, mother and homemaker.
There are two scriptures that are the foundation of my work on Huntress At Home:
“She looks well to how things go in her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.”
Proverbs 31:27-28
“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.” .
Ecclesiastes 9:10
Here are a few additional things you might like to know about me!
- I have a bachelor of science degree in nutrition [my other passion]
- I am a minimalist in the making
- I was homeschooled for 12 years and plan to homeschool my own children
- I am an extreme planner
- I eat a plant-based diet
