This is the fourth installment in my series on how I’m Harboring a Warm & Peaceful Home as part of my goals for 2019. And how you can, too! You can read about My Goals for 2019 here. (They also happen to be the new mission statement for Huntress At Home.) Let me start today off by asking you this: Are you reading this as you procrastinate on house work? Is it because housekeeping is such a headache with kids? I can’t be the only one who has made a bad habit of letting chores fall by the wayside because it’s just so difficult to do anything with a childRead More →

This is the third installment in my series on how I’m Harboring a Warm & Peaceful Home as part of my goals for 2019. And how you can, too! You can read about My Goals for 2019 here. (They also happen to be the new mission statement for Huntress At Home.) Today, I want to step on a few toes… including my own. I’m talking about husbands. It’s so easy to forget in the middle of caring for children, keeping a clean house, being involved in ministry and cooking dinner that, really, our HUSBANDS should be our first priority. We married them with the promise of putting them first,Read More →

This is the second installment in my series on how I am working on Harboring a Warm & Peaceful Home as part of my goals for 2019. And how you can, too! You can read about My Goals for 2019 here. We’re already a week into January! What! Are you making the most of it? I’ll tell you what has started me off on a productive foot in 2019: a capsule wardrobe. Why A Capsule Wardrobe? Because it has made getting dressed–well dressed–a snap every single day. No matter what, I’ve got a coordinated outfit ready to go. The only challenge is trying to steer clear of spit up so I don’t have to wash. Do you feel more productive and motivated when you are dressed for the day you want to have, as they say? I know I do! Something about putting on a pairRead More →

On January 1st, I outlined My Goals for 2019, which are actually much simpler than in years past. In fact, I was able to reduce my resolutions into a simple acronym (H.U.N.T.E.R.–my name) and, really, it’s more of a mission statement. It has also become the mission statement for Huntress At Home! In order to apply each goal more comprehensively, I decided to focus on one each month for the next six months and then repeat them for the last six months. Today I wanted to share with you some ways I am applying my first goal in the month of January. Goal #1: HarborRead More →

Hello friends! I’ve been out of the loop for a while because I’ve been making big plans for 2019. Fall is my favorite time of year for so many reasons. One of them is my love for sweaters, jeans… just as many clothes as I can pile on. I love wrapping up. Trouble is, as a SAHM, there’s not a ton of room in the budget for new clothes. Especially when the babes are growing like weeds and always needing new threads. They get to have all the fun and don’t even care!! Luckily, moms don’t need to forsake style just cause they’re on a budget. Obviously, we don’t have the big bucks to spend on high-end fashion, but considering fashion trends change fromRead More →

Hi friends! I hope the crisp weather is treating you well! As for us, we’ve been dealing with stuffy noses and wisdom teeth extraction. I’ve been so out of sorts because my husband has been so busy with work. Consequently, I’ve been basically single-parenting for a couple of weeks. And now I’m feeling pretty set back after having my wisdom teeth pulled this past week. Despite having very little time to devote to the blog, Huntress At Home is growing! I’m so excited for the future and the possibilities. And I wanted to just take a minute to say thank you to all my readers!Read More →
